gyezz
Hungarian traditional music veterans Söndörgö return on June 28 with Gyezz, perhaps their biggest release in the band’s more than 25 years on the road. Welcoming special guest Chris Potter to perhaps the celebrated saxophonists first-ever world music trip to date, and releasing on Michael League’s label GroundUP Music, the group intertwines jazz with their signature blend of traditional music, the sophistication of classical compositions, the energy of rock and the purity of Bartók’s thinking.

Nyolc 8 Nyolc
Söndörgő has always been aiming for creating a coherent flow of music out of their separate pieces. The need for musical "story telling" has increasingly disrupted the framework of folk music and folk music adaptations. This is how this album, ‘Nyolc 8 Nyolc’ consisting mostly of Söndörgő’s own tracks was born.
